About HumanCalc
What this is
11browser games, each one a version of an established task from cognitive psychology — the Corsi block-tapping test, the PASAT, Donders' reaction task, the dual n-back. No invented puzzles with science-sounding names on top.
What we claim, and what we don't
Practising a task makes you better at that task. That much is not controversial and you will see it in your own numbers within a week.
Whether it transfers — to intelligence, to memory in daily life, to work — is genuinely argued over, with good studies landing on both sides. So every game page names the paper it is based on and leaves the interpretation to you. You will not find a claim here that training raises your IQ by a number.
Why it's free
There is no subscription, no trial, and no paywalled level. An account is optional and only adds saved progress, XP, streaks and the leaderboard — every game is fully playable without one.
Not a medical tool
HumanCalc is for training and curiosity. It is not a diagnostic instrument and a score here means nothing clinically, however closely a game follows the original task.
